My work leans into the cheap and tacky and wraps it in a colorful package. The weight lies in the rendering. Seeing these objects as important subjects while attempting to capture each highlight, shadow, and hue forces me to take them seriously. My dream is that my work brightens days, energizes spaces, and resonates with its viewers!”
Lily grew up in Darien, CT and found her way back to the area 6 years ago after attending Messiah College where she earned a degree in Art Education. Lily nowteaches art full-time at Middlesex Middle School, andshe finds that working with students in the classroom is constantly informing her own art practice.Additionally, this year she has the privilege of being a Resident Artist at The Norwalk Art Space.
