Plan a Craft & Sip with Friends

You know you need a night out.

Join us at Make-Modern for a creative night of crafting with friends. Good news: all you have to do is pick your favorite project, gather your friends, and we'll handle the rest!

We need a minimum of 8 people (max 24) to host an event, which are held 7:30-9:30pm on weeknights or 12-2pm during weekdays. We will coordinate all logistics with you as the host, and will provide you with a private registration page for all of your guests to sign-up.

Step 1: Gather your people

Select your project from the menu below. Our instructors guide your group through a hands-on craft project in a relaxed, low-pressure environment where everyone leaves with something they’re proud of. Add some good music, great conversation, and a glass in hand, and you’ve got the perfect night out.

Step 2: Pick your project

You can choose between our basic BYOB Craft & Sip package or our upgraded experience, which includes everything in the basic experience plus a beautifully curated food + beverage spread so your group can truly show up and enjoy. We partner with two local, women-owned favorites to elevate the night: The Town Cellar provides a thoughtfully curated selection of wines and non-alcoholic beverages, and The Saucy Spoon provides an irresistible nibble board designed for sharing

Oyster/Scallop Shell Dishes

Decoupage and guild oyster shells to create little jewelry dishes or wine charms.

Create a super simple, self finishing, stunning bag charm to add to your favorite tote.
Woven Trivet

Weave a gorgeous cotton trivet on a mini loom in your favorite color scheme.
Custom Sweatshirts

Learn the fundamentals of embroidery, with running stitch and whip stitch, as well as our favorite technique for adding texture and color - the cut-away appliqué. Note: this project must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance of the event
Block Print Tote Bag Bar

Use custom carved blocks to design your favorite version of a block print tote bag.
Embroidered Wall Hanging

Embroider new decor for your favorite upcoming holiday, your child’s room, or - our favorite - host a baby shower or sprinkle to design ‘monthly milestones’ for the new baby!
Specialty Paper Woven Acrylic Tray

Learn to weave using stunning designer wallpaper, grasscloth and handmade paper.
Needle Felted Tote Bag

Choose your favorite tote bag style, and design (initials, hearts, flowers, stars, etc) and learn to needle felt with gorgeous wool rovings.
Leather Bag Making ($75/person)

Create a stunning leather mini-tote with DMarxx Design! Using the highest quality leather, you will learn to construct this bag with leather cord in the traditional hand stitched technique.
