Plan a Private Kids Workshop
Private party vibes, minus the cake & candles!
Gather your favorite group of kids for a creative Make-Modern workshop designed just for them. Whether you’re planning a special playdate, a troop outing, a class get-together, a mini celebration, or simply an excuse to make something beautiful, we’ll handle the projects, materials, instruction, and all the tiny details that make it feel special.
Private kids workshops are $65/person for grades Kindergarten+, and require a minimum of 8 children and max of 24. Private workshops are scheduled based on studio availability and can be held after school, on early dismissal days, during school breaks, or at other available times that work for your group.

Choose from our kids workshop project menu below. Our instructors guide the group through a hands-on project in a fun, thoughtful, skill-building environment where every child leaves with something they’re genuinely proud to show off.
Step 2: Pick your project
Once your project and date are selected, our team will take care of the setup, instruction, premium materials, and clean-up. We’ll coordinate the logistics with you as the host and provide a private registration page so each guest can sign up directly. The kids get the full Make-Modern experience: beautiful supplies, expert guidance, and a project that feels polished, personal, and proudly handmade.

Need a group project to-go?
We offer take-home group project kits and off-site private events, bringing a little Make-Modern magic straight to you! Our most popular take-home option for kids aged 10+ is an at-home, kitted version of our very beloved DIY sweatshirt workshop, designed for groups of 15+. We send everything you need: your choice of sweatshirt colors and sizes, beautiful applique fabrics, stencils, a rainbow of thread colors, and very detailed instructions so that your crew feels confident while making and cool while wearing.
$60/kit, minimum 15 kits. Must be booked 3 weeks in advance of event date, and all sweatshirt colors and sizes must be selected 2 weeks ahead of event.
