Weekly Classes
Our weekly classes are where creativity becomes a habit and a lifelong skill. With sewing, crafting, crochet, knitting and needlepoint (and let’s not forget mahjong for adults), each session is designed to build confidence, sharpen technique, and spark joy along the way. Whether you’re five or fifty, there’s something powerful about carving out time each week to make with your hands and create something beautiful. It’s not just a class—it’s your creative reset.
Class Descriptions
Kid Classes

This is our most popular class for a reason. Our youngest students are introduced to at least a half dozen ways of making: hand-sewing, machine sewing, polymer, resin and more! Children will create a brand-new project -- or two! -- every time we meet. Fine motor skills improve, confidence soars, and anxiety disappears when kids spend 75 minutes each week in our studio. And you won’t believe the beauty of what your child will bring home.
Grades K-2

We have perfected the beginner sewing class. Like, we have it down. Children learn everything they need to know to sew independently + safely: essential techniques, tools, and terminology. Our secret sauce is a project each week that kids love, in designer fabrics that impress. (New projects and fabric every session.) We encourage students to take a few terms of the class to get consistent with their skills and confidence before advancing to the next level.
Grades 2-5

This class is designed for children + tweens who can straight-sew with a consistent seam allowance, can pivot, iron safely and thread the upper machine + bobbin. Ready to expand their skills to more complex projects and techniques? C’mon! We’ll take on advanced techniques like zippers, topstitching + simple garment construction. (Yes, yes, we know that your kiddo loves to make clothes!) And, as always, we offer new projects and fabrics every session.
Grades 3-6

Join us to create the preppiest accessories and cutest wearables! This class is open to middle schoolers of all machine sewing abilities. We will cover basics like threading the machine, gathering, and how to read a paper pattern. Go deeper, too, by sewing with zippers, boxing corners, and creating an adorable skirt made to your measurements! Students will leave this class with 5 gorgeous, useful, personalized projects — and a new sense of confidence!
Grades 5-8

Crochet is a wonderful way for kids to relax + create without turning on a screen. Your child will learn to crochet – or improve their skills – by learning to make 2 great projects. Kids choose their favorite colors from our beautiful ribbon yarns. Who knows? Maybe they’ll be crocheting all their holiday gifts this year!

Adult Classes

Learning to machine sew is a game-changer. After this class, you’ll be able to make your own throw pillows, table linens, bags + even simple garments! Whether you are new to sewing or just need some sewing inspiration, this class is right for you. We sew new projects each week using our own simple + modern patterns designed in house. We'll provide the sewing machine, project patterns, and a gorgeous selection of designer off-cut fabrics – Thibaut, Scalamandre, Schumacher, Osbourne + Little. What you make will match your style + your home.

Learn the most popular needlecraft technique on the East Coast with us! With hand painted canvases and stunning threads, create your new favorite ornament, bag charm or door hanger - whatever suits your fancy! After stitching your canvas, learn to create custom cording and use our selection of fabrics to finish your piece - no need to send it away! From beginners to pro stitchers, all levels love this class as a time to relax, visit, and work with your hands. All materials included to stitch and finish.

Everyone wants to learn how to crochet! In this class, you’ll choose your favorite shades of our new Truboo bamboo yarn + create a luxe custom clutch bag. Will your friends swoon? Yes. Will they demand you make them one? Surely. By the end of this class you’ll want to make this bag over and over!

Knitting is a time honored handcraft that has been a relaxing and productive skill for generations, so we love teaching folks to knit using the most luscious yarn! Yes, you choose the color. Yes, it's included in the price. And we make every bit of the process easier and more fun than you'd ever guess: cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, cast off. All materials and pattern included.
